The TalkTracker app was developed by Cognitive-Communication in Aging and Neurogenic Disorders Lab (CCANDL) to help detect changes in speech and language. The TalkTracker app has 6 different activities that are repeated weekly, for 8 weeks. These 8-week study periods happen once a year, for 3 years.
CCANDL is short for Cognitive-Communication in Aging and Neurogenic Disorders Lab. CCANDL studies preclinical signs of dementia using changes in speech and language, such as the tasks in the TalkTracker app.

Privacy Policy
The TalkTracker application (the “App”) has been developed by UW-Madison for use by participants in a research study.
We are committed to protecting App users privacy. This page is used to inform you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of the personal information collected via the App.
Information We Collect
Through the App, we collect recordings of your speech. These recordings will be linked to your study ID, which will be stored in the App. The study ID is a unique identifier generated for the study which allows the study team to link your recordings and other data collected in the study to you. The key that links your name to the study ID is not stored in the App.
How We Use Your Information
After completing a recording session, recordings are transferred to a UW-Madison database and deleted from the App. The informed consent form for the study details how your recordings and other data are used and stored for research purposes. Your study ID remains stored in the App for future recording sessions so that the study team can link your data over time.
Disclosure of your Information
The study informed consent form describes the conditions under which study information is protected from disclosure and when it must be disclosed.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
